It's really too bad I lost weight prior to this. Cause I would have kicked all your asses. 317, 208.

Good going, though, guys. Peer pressure works. I motivated myself, however, for girlz.

Yeah. I'll tell you what; once I stopped eating the 737s, I was okay.

Funny! Very funny.

Seriously, though, congrats on the weight loss. That is quite an accomplishment.

Default Friday weigh in

Ok, how'd everyone do this week?

I stayed at 198 from last week, but I have dropped 2.5 inches from my waist.

Progress is progress, right!

Oh, I am so tempted. We are packing for the field for the next three weeks.

This is how I feel today.

True, but we are going to Ft. Pickett, VA. Mosquito central. They have skeeters the size of CH-47's that sound like one coming in for a landing.

Right now it's in the 90's with 95% humidity there. Oh, Joy!!!

At least it will be good for the Gut-Cut, right?

Don't get discouraged!
Usually with weight loss, you lose some, then you reach a plateau. It won't go down for a while. And then, after a while, it starts going down again.
If you get discouraged at the plateau stage and give up, it will only go up!

You guys are doing great!

Hang in there!

Welcome to my world.

After 20 years down here....uh the heat hasn't helped my weight at all....

But...DO keep hydrated. Don't forget. If you HAVE been cutting the amount of calorie intake, you'll be burning by the time you get down there at a good rate. Meaning you have a lot of stored fuel for the fire, and the engineer will be stoking it. Your core temp will be up, and you'll sweat easier. You'll sweat easier, and at an alarming rate too. So keep up the hydration.

As Kay mentioned. We are in a Plateau right now. If you are truly reducing the calories. Your body is in survival mode and it's hoarding everything it can and storing it. So in a cruel twist of nature. You are actually not burning a damn thing, but eventually that changes, and you start churning through the stored up fat.

I've gone from about 6K calories a meal, to 2K calories a day. And man my body is protesting hard!

(You know those three pieces of Double Decker Peperoni pizza the other night didn't help my cause this week.)

Yeah, I know. I drink almost a gallon of water per day and more when I am more active and the heat is up.
I know all too well the results of not staying hydrated. I suffered heat exhaustion once during Basic Training and I don't ever want to go through that again. I was mentally coherant, understanding what was going on around me, the panic, the instructions the drill sergeant and the medic were giving, etc. Yet, I could do nothing about it. My hands wouldn't cooperate, I couldn't keep my head in one spot, I couldn't talk, I was hyperventilatiing, and my vision kept going in and out. I must have been on the verge of unconciousness. It was not a pleasant feeling. I had the shakes for 2 days afterward and felt weak in the knees. My legs were like rubber. It sucked.

So, I will, as usual, be drinking plenty of water, gatorade, etc, and I too have significantly dropped my caloric intake. So, I know how you feel about the protesting body.

Happened to me in February while sparring.
