Default Hey look at me,,I'm a Dad!!!!

Well "J" asked me last night where I wanted to go eat for Father's Day Sunday

Caught me off guard,, I can tell you that. Never have been asked that before. But it is really cool. I know that we were living together last year at this same time but we didn't talk about me being a Dad to little "P". Kind of if he wanted to call me that I wouldn't say anything but it was still kinda one of those things. We didn't want to get him used to saying Dad to me after only 10 months together and in case things didn't work out.

But towards the end of the summer he started calling me Dad sporadically and especially after I proposed to "J" it was like the "no no,,don't say that" barrier had been removed. So he has been throwing that around all the time now. He has been saying things like "Dad can we do that", "Hey this is my Dad", "Mom....Dad.. where are we going" or to my brother's kid's "Your Uncle Sean is my Dad".

All new territory for me but I am liking it!!!!! It's really cool to have a kid running around and happy that I am his Dad. He told me the other day he had a secret that he couldn't tell me. I told him ok and he said I can't tell you I am making you a Father's Day card for you with Mom's help.

So anyways,,, this is my first Father's Day and I just wanted to say Happy Father's Day to all the new Dad's, seasoned Dad's, and any guy who is willing to step up to the plate and be a Dad to a kid.

So Happy Father's Day to all who are proud to be in that category!!!
