|  So, I get to work this morning... And as I make my usual rounds getting my milk for breakfast, water, and ice... Oh crap the ice machine is taped off, ok I go down to the restaurant and there is a sign on there ice dispenser "We are unable to offer water or ice today" so I go out to the water fountain, taped off, there seems to be a pattern forming here so I go back up to my office and sure enough the water fountain is taped off. Now I used to work for the Public Health Dept so my bet is that our water system is contaminated. I check around a little more in the rest room by the sinks a sign “Not for Consumption”, in the kitchenette a sign, yet the coffee machines are still working, since they boil the water before use… yup our water supply is contaminated, at least we (on our floor) have a bottled water dispenser. What really concerns me is there is no notice as to why nor is there a corporate e-mail explaining what is going on. Some stupid corporate lawyer is sitting in his office pondering the liability of it all with no concern for the well being of us peons. What a great start to Friday. |
