The new KR, like the original, is essentially a GT500 that's spent another hour or two swimming in the testosterone pool. The supercharged V-8 benefits from a new coldair intake and a Ford Racing low-restriction exhaust. With no change in boost pressure, output is bumped to a target of 540 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. Not enough (like there ever is) Meet the Super Snake  Give Mr. Shelby $10,000 and this is what you'll get. Utilizing the KR's cold-air intake and a new, larger-capacity Ford Racing supercharger, the Super Snake will romp with over 600 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, standard. Not enough? With optional tuning, Shelby will provide up to 725 ponies providing you're prepared to give up your warranty. I wonder if I can get a second morgage... Woof! |
