Just got off the phone with my dealer, he said they can't determine why my bike is smoking. They brought the manager's bike in (a blue M-50) and stated his is doing the same thing (smoking while going thru the gears) but stops when the engine gets up to speed. He said he has put it on the computer but no codes appeared, DUH !!! I've never seen a code for smoke coming from the rear cylinder during accelleration. I know the difference between black smoke and blue smoke.....black is a rich condition with the fuel, and blue is "OIL". The manager is going to ride behind my bike and see the smoke himself, and make a determination on whether to persue it any further or not. He stated that if it gets worse not to worry, I was covered under the extended warranty. I just hate riding a smoking motorcycle. Does anyone else have this problem......M-50 or not ???? |
