I work on computers all day long. All I can tell anyone is to stay away from IE7 for as long as you can. It's trash. The bugs are so numerous that I can't count them all.
Also I have had 3 machines in the shop in the last week that all had the exact same virus on them. All 3 machines had different and up to date virus software installed. None of which fired off when IE7 let the virus in. I also have 1 customer who sells insurance. IE7 won't let him install the web site software for the print command. I fixed that by introducing him to the best piece of software out there. Listen well. I'll only say this once. LOL.
Can you say FIREFOX

Nope till Billie fixes his crap right. Don't install IE7.

our company uses software that is built on microsoft's active x engine and the office suite, among other things.
so if internet explorer breaks due to some minor bug in some webpage, then the entire software application has to be reinstalled. after you reinstall internet explorer.
microsoft links everything together so firmly that a bug in the web browser can cause system-wide issues.
if firefox breaks, then the only thing that breaks is firefox. downtime is real monetary loss when you are dealing with users whose hours are billable and whose product research requires periodic web access.

I've seen my fair share of bugs in Firefox 2, and I'm a Sr Sys Tech. Unless you have a pressing need to use IE (Visual Basic integration, etc) I would recommend using Firefox.

Opera is fine too, but I've found some issues with page formatting that Firefox tends to handle better.

IE is still the standard though. It just seems to me that Firefox can handle that standard better than IE.

I've started using Firefox again. I install IE7 and for some reason, Outlook won't open messages when ie is running and ie won't open anything. Once I quit one or the other, the one left open starts working again. Really weird.

Vista 64 works pretty good and have found drivers for it but I duel boot it and play games using it only as the speed is better.

Im gonna have to say no to the vista. I was duel booting but have recently uninstalled Vista. I am waiting for a few bugs to be fixed. All I have to say is that you better have a good machine to run it. I could not get it to run on my new dell lat d620 w centrino dou 1.83 w 2gig of ram. When Novell releases a client for it I will upgrade.

I've got IE7 on the work PC, and there are some things I like and dislike about it... but the tabs feature is a bit more convenient when you're trying to do something that requires use of multiple URLs at once.

Some call it OSX, some say, "God bless you. Do you need a tissue?"

Yeah Novell is making the jump to linux. OEM Netware now runs on a linux kernel. I cant complain about Novell. Our boxes are rock solid and They are usually up all through the school year without a hitch. Cant say that for our microsoft boxes.
