|  Genealogy (Family Tree Maker)
For about the fourth time in as many years I'm picking up my genealogy work. What I'm lacking is guidance in the proper methodology of using software like this. Instruction with the software is vague and the FTM forum is in an archaic tree format that's painful to use. I wonder whether I'm doing an adequate job of being certain that the records I find are relevant. Mostly I compare children and spouses, along with approximate birth dates, to verify a new member. But that seems a bit loose. How are others using this software? What can I do besides click the web button and see what pops up? Can I use the software to verify my findings? I have version 13, btw. Thanks. |
