So, for some reason, I get hit hard with colds and sinus infections. Due to work, I often get exposed to really old demolition dust. A dose of plaster, old insulation and moldy wood and I can be laid out for a week with aches, head congestion, and chills. This week it's just a cold, but the result is nearly the same. I think it's viral because of the lack of abundant flegm, but I'm tired and achy and sore in the head. I don't understand it. I'm active, healthy, eat fairly well, and don't hang out in doctors' offices, but I get hit 2-4 times a year, it seems. By comparision, my wife is much more sedentary, not as aerobically active, and hardly ever gets sick. Aarrgh! So, I'm wondering about this new crop of drugs I'm seeing on tv lately, the ones that claim to shorten symptom duration. Any insight? Experience? Deaths? Also, since I've been stuck in my chair for three days I'm feeling rather cranky. If any of you find yourselves with new user titles or whatever, it was me. Whaddya gonna do about it? |
