|  Venting!!
Okay, so I'm raising my husband's son while he's in Korea. The kid is 16 and hasn't been a major headache yet. He gets good grades, so I got him a car to drive, and he got a job to pay his insurance. The problem is, he keeps leaving the @#%&& door unlocked on the house (at night when he comes in from work and during the day after he leaves for school). It's happened 5 days out of the last 7!! I've been through the entire "safety speech," and I'm holding his electric guitar hostage until he can lock the door 3 days in a row. I've even taken his front door key away from him and told him he has to enter/exit through the garage. Well, I came home today, and the %$&& garage door was wide open!!! My husband has suggested that the next time it happens, I should make him pack everything in his room (except his clothes and his bed) and store it in the garage until he shapes up. This seems a little extreme to me, but I don't know what else to do. I don't know what I would do if I had to tell my husband that both of our bikes and all of our stuff has been stolen from the house, or worse, something happens to me and/or the kids in the middle of the night. Does anyone have any suggestions, experiences they can share? |
