A rather strange ritual. Most Harley riders don't initiate the wave, except when they have their wife/girlfriend onboard, she will sometimes wave as if to say "Oh, honey, don't be stuck up, wave to the guy on the cheap little Suzuki." LOL And then there's those times when I'm holding the clutch in and someone waves and I can't wave back and I'm thinking they think that I'm stuck up. LOL Then there's the half-wave, where the hand kinda leaves the grip but not all the way as if waiting to see if the other guy will wave first. I actually think the guy with the more expensive bike should initiate the wave first........which means I don't initiate waves very often. Something really bizzare happens when I've been riding my bike around for a few days and waving to other bikers and then get in my car. If I see a mtorcycle coming towards me my hand just comes off the steering wheel automatically to wave but I stop just short of doing so, Dan |
