Default Random Thought: Google Earth. What if.....

Some poor S.O.B. decides he wants to look up his house on Google Earth. He types in his address, and the little flyby starts, and zooms in on his house, and there is his lovely wife on the front lawn kissing some dude that isn't him???

Surprised that it hasn't made the Urban Legend e-mail rounds yet. If it has, shame on me for not looking it up. But I'm sure it's bound to happen in real life. A strange car in the driveway......or god forbid....the pool boy cleaning more than the pool in the back yard......

Yeah, I thought about that when I found Google Earth.

I avoided my residence because I was afraid I would find another Trooper Car in the drive other than mine.

Unfortunately Google Earth is out of date. The pics are usually old pics. Reason I say this is because it was showin pics of my car i sold two years ago.

Or even worse than that, bring back memories of some ugly chick you used to know. I wonder could I google about 6yrs ago when I lived in florida and some chick keyed my brand new mustang in front of a Night club I was at. I found out who did it but I would just like to see her do it and pray that I did the right thing by not throwing that huge brick I had in the trunk through her window as I sat outside her home at 2am in the morning..

Well, no worries over here. The images of my town are low resolution - you can't see individual buildings, let alone people.

I did zoom in on my sister's house outside Portland, OR ... then I sent her a screen shot and asked why she wasn't home when they were taking the picture

I guess my point is......You can see just random slices of life happening. Everything going on with everybody blissfully unaware.

I'm surprised that people haven't come across odd things caught in the unblinking eye of the camera.

When I first started using google earth, I did some reading and found out that most pics are 2-4 years old.
