Default What's in your back yard?

This bad boy showed up in a Florida Game Warden's own back yard. He proceded to shoot it dead....

At least once I would like to see one of those in my back yard. All we've got are little toads, dogs and garter snakes.

Good Question. Snopes.com, de-bunker of urban myths says the photo is genuine, of a 13 footer killed in Bay City, Texas. The e-mailed myth that accompanied it was that it happened in Florida, and claimed 23'. The found in a backyard story is in fact, true...

Huh well, I had a box turtle lay some eggs in my back yard last week. Not quite as exciting is it?

By the way, I’m with Pete. It looks like it’s a doctored photo. If the man walking by has a shadow the monster should have one too.

I have a toad in my strawberry section in my garden. The fruits have never been so nice! No bloody insects last very long!

Notice the shadows, everything else has shadows but the reason for the alligator for not having one could be that the shadow is cut off by the bottom of the picture.

Wonder what firearm he used to kill it with.

Rae says she was born at night but not last night...she said she saw that gator crossing into the pond last week.

I don't really have a back yard (I live in an upstairs apartment, so I have a balcony), but on one side of the house, we have a herd of sheep who have been grazing there for the past couple of weeks. Each sheep has a bell around it's neck, so whenever they are awake, all you hear is "ding-ding-ding, bahhhhh, ding-ding, bahhhhhh, ding, bahhhhhh", and so on...from about 5:00am until about 11:30pm.

Well I would have to say that the way the shadows are being cast that the shadow very easily could be on the bottom of the page. After watching the event Monday at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm... "Walking with Gators",,, it does look a little big.

But then again I have seen a gator at the Okefenokee Swamp that easily shadowed that beast. They used to call him "OSCAR" the alligator. That one was about 3 feet tall from the bottom of his belly to the top of his back. I think he came in at 15 or 16 feet. When swimming in the water he looked like a big boat.

Have never seen another one that big since. He was well taken care of at that park until he finally passed away.
