I got the best father's day gift I have ever received. My wife asked me what I wanted and I told her two tanks of gas and the time to burn it up.......she gave me $20.00 and asked when I would be back. I left Sunday Morning at 0600 and headed for U.S. 129 in Gainesville, went all the way into Tn.........YEP !!!!! I'm officially a "Dragon Slayer". Man what a road, I was tired both mentally and physically when I got finished (rode it twice...once up and once back). 475 miles, 12 hours, round trip, one day, I do not recommend doing the "Dragon" as a day trip from anywhere South of Atlanta. If I had not purchased the Corbin Seat it would have taken about 18 hours because of all the stops to get the feeling back in my butt, this seat was a life saver. All in all it was a good day and an awesome feeling of acomplishment once I got back....not only for riding U.S. 129 but the longest one day ride since I bought the bike. BTW.....The sissy stripes on my tires...... There Gone. |
