Umm, no. I bought a 1989 Yamah Radian as my first because I was desperate to own a two-wheeled machine and it was the nicest bike I could afford. I wanted to ride, not be seen riding. I wanted a Nighthawk because it seemed like an appropriate type and I already had a steady girlfriend. I just wanted to ride.

Next, I upgraded to a Nighthawk 750 because it was bigger and faster. Trust me, you don't turn many heads on a Nighthawk. It made a great day-tourer for Jolene and me, though, and it seemed faster than heck at the time.

Some guys just need to realize that no matter what they ride, they still won't get laid anyway.

Well my dealership happens to be in the red light district so the chicks werent a problem.

Last year I was suppose to pickup a Sea-Doo RXP, a 215 HP monster. Well the insurance company brought me back to earth. And a few (Five) buddies all just purchase new bikes and talked me into a new bike.

I was not allowed to have a motorcycle when I was growing up because of my mom (all motorcycles kill everyone who gets on them all the time). After I got married the first time, my wife (then) would not allow me to have one because it would cut into her budget for shoes, manicures, and 40 thousand dollar vehicles. After the D-I-V-O-R-C-E, and after I got my finances squared away, it was my turn to get on two wheels, I bought a GS500 for $3,000.00 OTD. I did not have a license to ride a bike, but when I bought it, there was not a law that said I had to have one to get it back home.

Learned alot about riding on that little 500, and learned alot about not getting killed in traffic. Then came my (now) second wife, she loved to ride with me (were both smurf's so the 500 was not a problem 2-up) and things rocked on and on and on. Then one day she says "Hey....why don't we buy a house together and move?", well that was the end of the 500, she went up for sale and we bought the house. 3 1/2 years later I paid my truck off and WOOHOOOOOO the time had come again to get back on two wheels. Looked and looked and looked but couldn't find the bike for me until I found the 2005 Suzuki M-50 (due to hit the showrooms in April 05). Started buying all the accessories like, chaps, jacket, helmets, gloves, everything I could think of to avoid financing it in with the bike. May 3, 2005 I walked into the showroom with a check from my bank and bought the bike of my dreams.

OK,OK,OK, that is how I started riding not why. The reason I stared riding is because I like riding on two wheels, it relaxes me when I'm not in traffic, it puts me right with the world when I get home, and no matter how bad my day has been, if I can ride for an hour or so it doesn't matter anymore.

Do tell about the Nighthawk!! It seems I have an unhealthy fascination for those machines! It is at the top of my "If you see one cheap. Snag it!" list. Was it comfortable? How was the power? Was it reliable?

I bought my bike because I want to be able to experience the feeling my dog gets when he sticks head out the truck window into the breeze.
