What the heck was going through my head when I thought I could handle the next 8 weeks?? Working 10 hour days, fitting a 2 hour class as my lunch hour, then going for 3 hours of class in the evenings? Somewhere, I forgot to schedule in "food" during lunch and dinner. Geez, I'm a 21 year old mindset stuck in a 33 year old body. I'm not even done with week one and I already miss my kids! Also, what is up with high schools teaching Government these days. No offense to any high school government teachers on this forum, just that the students in the particular basic Political Science class that I am in couldn't even name the 3 branches of our Gov't. (Department of Homeland Security is NOT one of the branches!!) Even though my motorcycle grants me front door parking, I'm walking 3 blocks from work to class with a loaded backpack...many of them don't even know how to cross the street. It seems like they think talking on a cell phone while jaywalking grants them immunity from harm from 40mph cars. Okay, back to the books....thanks for listening. Aloha, Kehau |
