|  Immigration Law Protests Well it was bound to happen. The Hispanic community is starting to protest the new Immigration law. Yesterday the students of most of the schools skipped out and held quiet protests in their respective areas. When they interviewed the kids some of them were quite eloquent. But there was one thing that got my attention. Today they skipped out again but this time they were neither quiet nor eloquent the term riot comes to mind. Again my attention was captured my one thing. If I was fighting to be able to stay in this country, if I wanted to impress upon those watching the protest how important it was to me to be able to stay in this country, if I had read my history lessons and I lived in the state of Texas the last friggin’ thing I’d do is… Wave the flag of my country of origin.    Remember the Alamo!! |
