Default Modifications

Do modifications to the bike affect the warranty ?

Such as pipes and intakes and fuel processors.

I dare you to get a straight answer out of a dealer! The answer verys acording to who you ask. I plan on keeking my stock pipes just in case.

The warranty's only a year, right? Wait a year.

It's generally accepted that the dealer/manufacturer carries the burden of proof as to whether a mod caused a malfunction, but do you really want to get into that mess?

It's only a year unless you buy the extended warranty (which I did).

And no, I don't want to get into that, but a little more power would be nice.

Yep. Depends on your dealer and if they are willing to fight for you or not.

I think that the most common response you'll get from any dealer is that "as long as it's installed by a dealer..."

Just be sure to get that in writing.
