Hmmm - in case anyone Tivo'd or PVR'd this, I'm going to guess without giving away that a line trace is done and all is good. That was so damn funny what happened and how they did that - caught me way off guard.

Well they time warped ahead I'd say almost 1.5 to 2 years from where it was when the last season ended. I'm shocked that the Feds have flipped so many good fellas so close to the tops of all the families that its' almost certin that Tony is gonna get pinched too. He's no "Teflon" boss but I just don't think that's the way his story will end. But it's going to be worth the wait to see how it does finally play out for Tony and the Soprano family.

I have been a Sopranos fan since its debut. Last weeks episode was, in my opinion, a catch up of what has been happening and then immediately back into the heat of the family. I was shocked at a few things, but that is the nature of the show. From what I have read, it should be a great season. Do any of you think this will be the final season, with the exception of the 5 planned for next year?

I read an interview w/ Chase and he mentioned that they don't have any more planned after those last 8 (I heard 8 as opposed to 5) episodes next yr. BUT, he never explicitly says that another season is not possible, so who knows. I know what I'll be doing @ 9pm tonite tho! =)

Lex, you are right. I fat fingered that one. It will be 8 for next season. In a way, I hope it doesn't end, but as we all know, a show eventually ends.

I noticed that HBO is pushing the new series, Big Love. I watched it and it just didnt catch with me. I will watch a couple of more episodes and see if it can get my attention.

Eh....I wasn't too impressed. I started reading my new copy of Motorcycle Cruiser halfway through.

Although, the beginning of the "family" starting to unravel without the skipper on board should be interesting.

I thought it was pretty good, not as a stand-alone episode, but as a segue or "setup" episode. Man, things are gonna get interesting!

There's something DEFINITELY up w/ Vito. Paulie's loyalty seems to be swaying again (like in season 3 was it? when he tried to join the ny fam)...
Also, Silvio's one of my fav characters. I think he's a great consigliere to the family so it'll be interesting to see how he takes charge.

Will also be interesting to see what AJ does w/ Uncle Jun!
Oh, and I wonder what the significant of Kevin Finnerty is?
Remember also in a previous season, Tony mentioned to Dr. Melfi that if he wasn't part of "the family," he prob would've been a patio furniture salesman (as in the dream)?

Those dream sequences are always a trip. I bet he wakes up when he finds he "suitcase."

Was a trippy episode - for sure. I hope they don't keep Tony sedated for a lot of episodes (or the whole season only to have him pass on) -

The unravelling of the family - no one who immediately can assume respect of all others... wonder if that's the entire theme?

I liked the fact you could see that beacon from the hotel room, it wasn't lost on me, and then it played into his "dream". That is where they held the Finnerty family reunion.

Agree. Great episode. Kinda freaky to see Tony B and then what appears to be his mother's silhouette in the doorway.. That definitely was not heaven...

And pool Sil! He's just not cut out to be boss!

I thought the episode was okay. I am glad that his character is awake and we can get down to bidness, as intimid, said. The preview for next week, looks like the Sopranos....

Yup. Something about liking being the "behind the scenes" kinda guy...
Man, he's one of my fav characters on the show too. Straight up old school gangster scowl and demeanor.
And the look on his face when Bobby was trying to press the issue while he was being pushed into the ambulance.. PRICELESS!!!
