Default Well I took a plunge today………

A Polar Plunge!!!!! We had a great time today, 198 of us dove into the 33° waters of Lake Michigan this afternoon to raise money for the Special Olympics, raising around $90,000.00.

Somehow I won the best costume contest dressed as Fred Flintstone. Maybe it was the bright orange suit, maybe it really was a great costume or maybe the crowd liked a fat man running around doing a belly flop.

I had a great time; my mother is sure is feeling good as she was the one who made the costume. This was my second year participating in the Polar Plunge and thought this was something worth sharing. Here’s a few photo’s

Way to go Paul

As Mavman said, a worthy cause. 90 K is not chump change.
Mr. Slate would have been proud. Hopefully Wilma gives you something good to warm you up.

Is it true that your nads shrink up and go back up into your body, because of the freezing water. Enquiring minds want to know!

Congrats on the amount of money raised, that's awesome. The cosume looks great too, you do make a good Fred Flintstone.

As for the plundge.......OH HELL NO ! You would still be trying to revive me where my heart stopped, and all of the doctors would still be looking for my nads.

You are a braver man than I. I value my nardular component too much.

Kudos for supporting a worthy cause!

Kudos from me as well, for taking the plunge to raise money. I would do something like that on the fly, but not sure if I had to think about it for awhile.
