Thumbs up Local Shop Gets Busted

This story has been out for a few weeks but now a lot more info has been released that makes it a worth while read.

This is the same shop that left the cross-member piece off of my Kat when they worked on it last.

I have been a customer there since it first opened in 1987, the last 10 years has been it's worst.

I have been told through a somewhat reliable source that this place keeps employees for about 6 months then fires them so they can have a all new staff.

I hope this place goes out of business.

Default It's going to get worse

Hate to say it, but Jay Nixon has both barrels pointed at ProCycle here in Missouri. It's definately about time! They've been conducting illegal business activity here in Springfield for some time now. Everything from fraud to bait-and-switch.

I honestly hope it turns into a HUGE class action suit that will force them to close their doors forever. Much as I hate to see the jobs lost, but bad business just doesn't belong.

my brother bought an '04 volusia from pro cycle last year. he was probably a little more savvy than some in his dealings, but he absolutely refused to pay any extra charges, and they still sold to him. sometimes it's up to the buyer to negotiate the deal a little. my brother had been in the auto sales business for years and knew a little about this type of sales pratice.
that being said, when he later had a problem with it, they could find no paper work on his purchase(he paid cash), and refused at that time to do any warranty work. he contacted suzuki international in california and they were very helpful and told him if he ever had another problem to contact them immediately. later, bud

Very good information to have allows others to look at the dealings with their own dealerships.

the guy that my grandpa sold his honda dealership to was pulling this same crap, he got busted for it, they allso caught him over charging insurance co. to do repairs. heard a rummor he might of been screwing honda on warranty work to, not sure about that he still has the dealership. verry sad to hear about stuff like that, people use to come from a long ways to buy bikes from my grandpa, from towns that had there own dealerships! when i hear about this stuff it makes me wonder why? grandpa did very well, and he didn't have to cheat folks out of a few hundred bucks, hell if you didn't try to jew him down from his fair price he'd throw in a free set of tie downs and give you a deep discount on gear!

If your brother got away w/o the fees, he definately needs to call the Missouri AG with that information. They need information to demonstrate that there WERE hidden fees and that not everyone was FORCED to pay those fees. Help us drive out a criminal business!

If EVERYONE paid the same fees, then they don't have anything to go on. If they don't pay the same fees, then they can demonstrate a pattern of ILLEGAL and FRAUDULENT activity on the part of that business.

What gets me is that I did a lot of advertisement for them for free, told everyone how good their service department was, sent people who owned all types of bikes to their parts department, now I have to wonder how many times they ripped off the people I sent and myself.

Things like this make me not trust anyone to work on my vehicles.
