Default How to type the degree symbol

Have you noticed that there isn't any "degree" symbol on your keyboard? Doesn't it get old spelling out degree or even abbreviating it to "deg" when you describe the temps you rode in? Well, I'm here to offer a solution. Just follow the simple instructions below:

1. Press and hold the "Alt" key.
2. Type the numbers '0176' in that order.

Voila! You got the degree symbol. The only caveat is that it only works on PC's using Microsoft Windows operating systems. If anyone knows how to do this on a Mac, my ears are open. Otherwise, I may have to fire up Virtual PC to run Win XP on my Power Mac G4.

Side note, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Highs are forecasted at 62°F.
