Default My Christmas Present

So I got a bike for our anniversary and now this for Christmas. Either I was a REALLY good girl this year or hubby was a REALLY bad boy this year...hmmm...

I can see it's a Chevy, but I'm not sure I know what the hell that is. Still for your sake I'll assume you where a very good girl this year. That's a helluva present. I'm sure I'll get some nice gray socks that are very similar..... in color at least......sigh.......

Thanks everyone! It is the new Chevy HHR and it is the 1LT but with the 2LT package (basically, the more powerful engine, chrome package, and other stuff). He knows I've been waiting patiently for years for the PT Cruiser to come out with a bigger version because I've always loved them but I've not been happy about the smaller interior in the back. I've been wanting a new vehicle a lot more lately but have been real picky about what I want. I didn't want a typical 4-door car because that seemed too small after having been spoiled by all the room of our current van but I didn't want another van because it is too much room for us now...kids are older, down to 1 dog and he's a small dog. I'm not a station wagon person and am not too keen on typical SUVs and trucks.

Anyway...back to the car.....heated leather seats, premium 7-speaker stereo with XM radio and an auxillary jack for my itunes phone or mp3 player, power sunroof, running boards, keyless entry with automatic starter (LOVING that feature because I can start the car to warm up on these cold winter mornings while I'm still in the house), auto-dimming rearview mirror....a bunch of knobs and switches I'll have to get used to...happily of course!

Aloha,
Kehau

That is a wonderful gift. I agree I do prefer it to the PT Cruiser. One of the nicest items to come from GM in quite a while.

Chevy dealer here can't keep those things on the lot. Last I checked, he was waiting on two more, one ordered and one sold before it left the factory, and he was trying to order more 'cause all the other dealers within a reasonable distance were also booked up and couldn't spare him one.

Does the car feel tight??? Does it feel like everything fits good and no sqeaks and rattles?? Does it have alot of plastic stuff or what type of interior does it have to it??? I could see one of those with a surfboard hanging on top of it or out the back window if it lets down. COOL RIDE Kehau!!!!!!! I am sure you have been a good girl!!!!

Okay, so I've had a few days to drive it and have found good and could-be-better things. The ride is so very smoooooth!!!! The speed-sensitive steering is awesome in the turns, again, so very smoooooth!!! The "Driver's Information Center" [that's what they call it] is clean and uncluttered. The digital displays of the various items about the car and driving is neat. It will tell me the tripmeter, the average speed I've driven, the miles per gallon average, the number of miles I have left to drive based on the amount of gas left in the tank, the oil life left (%), the coolant temperature, and the outside temp. The stereo system with the 7 speakers is a bit much for me but the hubby and the kids love it. I admit I am loving the XM Satellite Radio!! The auto-dimming rearview mirror...love it!! The heated leather seats and the auto-start feature...in this cold weather...LOVE IT!!! The car does not accelerate from a complete stop as well as my van but that doesn't bother me...I get in "mom" mode when on 4 wheels because I have kids, mine and others, with me. This car is much more my size than the huge van. I love it, almost as much as I love hubby!
