Oh yeah! Basically done for now! Got the oil change done. I also wanted to inspect my starter gear. I added this piece of equipment I found while digging through some racing spares: - Nut

It never ends, does it? I'm trying to decide whether to open up my fairing to investigate a possible headlight fabrication, or to cut up my basement floor to replace plumbing. Hmmm.

Yeah, more bad news. Turn signals stopped working. Harness issue I think. Bah! I should have left her alone! Previous owner had part of this harness in there incorrectly. Not sure what is going on. Fuses good. Flasher good. Conenctions . . . all I see is some real HACK repair work in there. So, I guess I'll have to work on her later. Also, ran her with the plastic off, and noticed some noises. Leaking (i.e. BAD) header gaskets for one. Carbs also need to be synched . . . BAD! Christ, can't catch a break lately. - Nut

I have a 2000 S-10.. I just took all the screws out of my dash.. two hands and one pull and the dash rips off. I always used to have to fix my stereo and install new ones, etc.. it's just easier that way.. but if anything breaks in my truck, and it's still driveable, I don't even fix it. ;/ |

ahhh the joys of fixing the hack jobs of others......nothing like that to make you swear and curse the previous owner and his children! so rare is it to find a old bike that is the same as it was when the folks at the factory put it together......atleast you havent found any rodent nests! for some reason they love the air box on any bike that has been parked for a good bit in my part of the country!

@ Forbid Ive got a 95 neon, its so awesome, everything is held in with jesus clips, i love it. Def. "Jesus Clips" clips, upon removal, promptly shoot off into the sunset with a distict "ziiiiiing" sound, also accompanied by several expletives including "Jesus!"

Bikes are cheaper and faster to repair- I have restored cars for years- I have a 67 Valiant with a 500 ci motor in it, 800hp before N2O, and a 69 Coronet i am building into a 6pack R/T clone, with a 500ci 500hp motor in it. The valiant took me 2 full winters to complete, when I was single and a skipped meal for a month or so didn't hurt anyone but me, and kept me slim, and the coronet will take me 3 winters, even though I am earning lots more dough now. The z1 took me 3 months of a couple of nights per evening, and about 600 bucks in ebay parts. The Z1 chopper will be 2500 bucks complete, and six months of work, mostly in fabrication of various parts, such as seat and tank. bikes are just cheaper and easier, that is the end LOL |

I like my little Suzuki 4 cylinder. That thing is as easy to work on as a bike (and not much bigger than a bike - 1.6L two seater). The car only has about 63k miles, and it's a 96, but I'm a little anal about maintenance. Runs like a dream, though |
