So here's a question, which is better: Bon Scott AC/DC or Brian Johnson AC/DC?

Me, I have to go with Bon Scott. Highway to Hell is one of the best, most underrated hard rock albums...

Oh, Bon all the way. Brian Johnson's just an afterthought. 25 years later, I still call him "the new guy."

RIP Bon (ya drunkened bastage )

Personally, I like them both. Were I forced to choose... Bon Scott.

But dammit... everything Brian was so-o-o good, too!!!

Well...at least one person mentioned Quiet Riot... ...so I don't have to go gettin' all Medieval over that omission...****!

G & R has to be up there along with Def Lep.

What about ZZ Top - [maybe not really metal???]

1. Slayer
2. Testament
3. Metallica
4. Megadeth
5. Queensryche

ZZ top was around in the late 60's early 70's started off as moving sidewalks and then changed to ZZ Top. Classic 80's though there 70's stuff was better.

Simply put , I saw their live concert from I think 2002 at Winamp.com and think much different about those guys now . They can rock a house pretty good .

The Wifey thinks I might be going nuts anyway ,

The 80's were full of one " album " wonders as well

How come no one mentioned Krokus, Scorpions, or Helloween? Oh... And I'm more partial to Brian Johnson...

Oh yeah! Scorpions and Iron Maiden were my favorites, but both started around the 70s (as did Van Halen). Sex Pistols and Ramones too, though they were punk. Helloween was (and to a degree still is) excellent. Saxxon, Dokken, Faster Pussycat, Judas Priest, Dio, Twisted Sister, Malmsteen, Cinderella, Poison, Metallica, AC/DC, Killer Dwarfs, Keel - I could go on and on. How do you rate them? God I miss the 80s.

Funny we were just discussing Bon Jovi the other day at work; wasn't too thrilled with him back in the day, but now he's not bad.

How 'bout White Lion? I think they were a one hit wonder... I liked Bon Jovi and Whitesnake during the 80's, but now, i don't listen to them at all... I've become more of a jazz head... Men with hair longer than mine and wearing lipstick and pants tighter than mine are no longer attractive to me... C'mon, who wants to argue with their BOYFRIEND over a scrunchy?

Right, but read the ORIGINAL criteria for this thread as stated in the first post.
