Default Most excellent Blast

I just answered the phone. The ID said "Private Caller". I only have one or two friends that call me with that. So, I picked it up to a caller whom I didn't recognize. I though at first it was a friend who was jerking with me a bit. Sounded like a low-key Rasta dude.

Anyway, I got into "Jerky Boys" mode right away. He was asking for someone who was not at this address. I told him that he was here. He asked who I was. I told him "Ed". He then said 'do you know who I am". I said, "yeah". He replied, "who?"

I said . . . DEEEEEEEEZ NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing better than going a bit old skool getting off a good DEEZ NUTZ blast on the unsuspecting . . .

I used to pay $3/month extra in Arlington, VA to have Annonymous Call Block. If someone called and an acutal name and number wasn't processed by the caller ID, then they didn't get through. You have a code that you can give to family or friends to bypass this restriction. My folks use calling cards only now, because even thought my Mom retired from Southern Bell, it's cheaper than her discounted rate.

*67 blocks your name and number in TN.

Good one, Nut! I love it when that happens. I also like it when a jerk will mis-dial and then be rude about it. I call 'em back . . . at 2 a.m.

That's funny ... I used to listen to the Jerky Boyz religiously.

Anyone ever had somebody insisting they had the right number? I had some lady that kept leaving a message on my answering machine stating that she had a problem with her wallpaper peeling off the wall. She left about 20 or so messages over a course of a month and a half. The last few were hysterical, whereas she was totally irrate!! I called her finally, after enjoying many laughs with my wife ... we actually looked forward to the calls ... she (the lady) insisted that I was a business representative for that company and refused to believe she was calling a wrong number ... ooooo she was mad. I actually started to sympathize with her and explained in detail that she was one number off from a local decorator store. When she came to her senses, man was she ever apologetic!

For years when I was growing up our home phone number was one digit off from a supermarket on the same street.

We'd go through periods where we'd get a couple of calls a night asking what time the store closed, or what was on special. After a while we stopped being polite and telling them they had a wrong number - we'd start giving completely bogus info on the supermarket - Yeah, we're open 'til 1:00 a.m. (they closed at 11). Yeah buy one bottle of pop and get two more for free, (not likely)

year old still..Funny thou!

Had a number that was one digit off a furniture store here in J-ville. I'd come in from work and I would have two calls from friends and 10 calls from customers wanting their furniture delivered.
So I made a list of all these dorks. I called them back...Of course I would get their answering machines. "Yeah this is Sam the delivery man at Levitz...sorry to say that your delivery of furniture was left out in the rain and we had to order a new furniture set for you. Your looking at about 4-6 weeks unil we get our next shipment."

The return calls were friggin halirious. Actually spoke to one lady. She was highly pissed. So I told her I could get her some new furniture from another store and have it delivered that afternoon but only if she was hot and do-able. She sounded about 70. Wow! Talking about a loss for words...I kept it going with some jerky boys attitude..."You know if your not hot enough..what about your neighbor.."
She slammed the phone down. For some reason that furniture store went out of business.
