What do you guys use? I don't play live, so my set-up is tailored to my ear. Here's my standard set-up for rock: Guitar (usually an ESP, Ibanez, or Peavey) I use a yellow 20' Ernie Ball cord (I know, I'm ancient) Next, I flow through a BOSS GT-6 (http://www.bossus.com/index.asp?pg=1&tmp=85), where I use a doubling delay, chorus, MT-2 distortion, wah/flanger/phaser/reverb/echo delay (if needed) Then, through one of two black Ernie Ball 2' cords into a Fender M-80 (solid state) and a Crate G-20 (solid state) in stereo. The GT-6 has so much stuff in it. I almost never use the amp modeling (I put it on "Marshall" and boost hte gain when I'm thinking Angus Young). I bought it so that I could have several BOSS effects in one tidy pedal. When I'm going for a bluesy sound, I change to the BD-2 Blues Driver, If I'm going for more of a classic rock, I use the OD-1 (still one of my all-time favorite stomp boxes). So . . . what do you guys use? |
