IT ROCKED!!

It was actually really fun, and it was cool that all the original guys were there. They played all the songs that I wanted to hear...Shout at the Devil, Kickstart my heart, Girls girls girls, Home Sweet Home, etc.

There was just one point in the concert where the girlfriend I was with and I looked at each other and thought, "How old are these guys...cuz they are kinda creepy now!!" Tommy took this home video camera that he lovingly called the "t*tty cam"...and spent about 20 minutes just recording "girls gone wild" moments . I mean, I know they are rockstars and everything, but come on...

Other than that, it was really fun. Before kickstart my heart they all rode out on these choppers...I don't really know what I thought about that...It was almost a little lame to do that, but whatever!

I'm glad I went!

Sweet. They are in there 40's now, I think, since Too Fast for Love came out in like '81. Crickey Mick may be in his 50's. Glad to here you enjoyed the show.

Note to Trapper: Take your camera too.

I posted a few pages back on the Who being the loudest, but my son reminds me of a concert we went to about 3 years ago in London. Jeff Beck playing all of the early Yardbird hits with the White Stripes as his back up. We were in the first row, our ears rang for a week. It was something to see.

AC/DC. For 4 days, I thought I was going to remain hearing impaired. The song "For those about to Rock" had something like 13 cannon blasts. I was actually fearful of my hearing never returning.

Default Never again

Went to see Headpins & Loverboy concert when I was like 14y/o at Moncton's coliseum and I was deaf in one ear for a whole week. I'm 37y/o now and never gone to another concert after. I'd rather keep my hearing and listen to music at home where I have full control of the volume.

If I went to Loverboy, I would stop going to concerts too.

That would be interesting to see. Jeff Beck, playing The Yardbirds songs, with The White Stripes as backup.........sounds cool.

Probably Everclear and Theory of a Deadman, back in 01. Small Venue (1000 ppl) Cranked it up. Actually, Theory was louder than Everclear. Saw Theory again this year...(still loud)They put on a pretty good show. No fancy effects, just a few guys playin their hearts out.

Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble in the early 80's at Memorial Colliseum in Portland, OR. They opened for The Moody Blues. It was 3 days before I could hear *anythng* with my right ear. I remember SRV breaking a string in the middle of a solo...when a roadie tried to hand him another guitar, he just waved him off, pulled a handful of stings out of his vest pocket, replaced and tuned, and jumped back into his solo. Gooooood times.......

Speak up I can't here the question!! hehe
Since I were a shirt with the words EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER on the back I can honestly say to many to mention. At an event/concert I spend the better part of my time standing next to stage speakers. I havent been to a concert as a fan since the 80s.
Journey, REO Speedwagon, Kansas, SRV, Yes, AC/DC, The Thunderbirds, Boston, Rush, Styx, etc... A lot of bands on the Military circuit, George Strait, Willie, ect... The list goes on.

Most memorable??

Yes they Kicked Butt!!

When I was just a lad I went to a KISS concert, not a fan just went with friends, way too loud. Last year when I was at the KROQ Inland Invasion- Flashback To The Future concert they were playing great 80's bands such as the Cure, Billy Idol, etc, but in between they played modern bands such as Dashboard Confessionals, anytime they played the modern bands they cranked up the volume to where it was painful. It was one of those all day outdoor concerts, it was great but got to you after being there all day. I have been going to them for the last few years.

I just bought tickets to see DePeche Mode in November, really looking forward to it.

"Reach out and touch faith." I like Johnny Cash's version better.
