ears hurt for two days. i couldn't hear myself play, yet i was offered the job.

I always dug these two chicks, even though I was probably WAY to old to be watching a kid's show on Nickelodeon.

The loudest concert I have been to was my first concert, and it ruined my standerds for all concerts in my life. It was the Pledge Of Allegance Tour back in '01-02ish (???) they postponed it cuz of sept 11th, so around then. The lineup was Rammstein, System of a Down, Mudvayne (who didn't show cuz they did a show a week before in minneapolis [notice the rescheduling cuz of the postpone]), Slipknot, and American Head Charge. I'm sure there was a cover band of some sort too, but I dont' remember. That concert was the greatest ever and no concert I will ever go to will ever compare... hence I have ruined my standards for concerts. Oh yea, my ears rang for like a week.

Laugh It Up Funnyman!! Actually, Rammstein played after ACH, but before System and Slipknot. Plus they had just put out their new cd, so nobody knew any of the songs they were playing. In the hocky stadeum (spelling?) that they do the concerts in, you can barely understand the music anyways so it is a lot better if you know all the songs that someone is playing.

Mine was a Run DMC concert in '83-'84 at "the Joe" in Detroit... The concert itself was not loud, my ears rang from all the gunfire that erupted after the show...

YEE-HAW! I saw that G&R tour too. Jun '92 In Berlin at the Olympic Stadium. In addition to Soundgarden, there was also Faith No More on the European leg. Good show, but not all that loud in the big D.

It wasn't really a concert, but the CSD parade yesterday was f'ing loud! They used the same trucks as they use for the annual Love Parade in Berlin, and since the Love Parade was cancelled this year, they really turned up the volume for CSD.

(CSD: Christopher Street Day - A parade/march for equal rights for homosexuals)

I have seen a few REALLY loud bands.. but that was just because the sound guy didn't know what he was doing with the faders. The power metal shows I've been to have been equally loud [minus the Deicide show in 2003]..

but the LOUDEST BAND EVER is still Manowar. 120dB! BLOW YOUR SPEAKERS ON TEN!

Not a concert, but a few years ago I was sitting in traffic in my Toyota Forerunner. I had the rear window down (no A/C) and I started to hear painfully loud music from behind.

I checked my mirrors and saw an old man in a Buick pulling up behind me. Wasn't him. There was a POS beater pulling up behind him - it was some sh1tbird punk and I don't know what kind of system he had in that car, but my truck started to shake.

I closed my rear window and took an unplanned turn at the next intersection to get away from the offending car. I was in physical pain for about three days and the ringing lasted for about 5-6 days.

That retard must not have any hearing left. What a fvckwad!

Wow, what a diverse list of groups, impressive. For me it was the Who 1969 in Chicago. I was standing in front of the stage. I haven't been the same since.

That's why Pete has tinnitus, and is mostly deaf in one ear.
