Hey, 87gxrnut ... where did you hear Night Ranger in 1984? I was at Disney World for Grad-Nite '84 for them ... FRONT row ... I stayed for both sets; caught Brad Gillis guitar pick too.

I also now own a 1966 Fender Stratocaster that was owned and played by Brad quite frequently. I got in contact with him a couple of years ago. A real cool cat. Also saw NR in 1999 on a reunion tour. Still kicking *** I might add.

Come to think of it, I saw Cheap Trick in the 80's and it was extremely loud, and the sound sucked bad.
I saw them eight times in the 80's. Luckily, all the shows were great.

Judas Priest in 1989 and a close second was Matallica in 1992 I believe I still have ringing in my ears from these 2 shows.
YEAH! Priest is STILL great. Going to see them in a couple of weeks. Last saw them in '98 with the "Ripper" on vocals. Great show. Their new CD ROCKS!!!!! I saw that Metallica show in Berlin in '92. Neck hurt for a few days from all of the headbanging. I didn't think it was loud enough honestly.

I saw Pink Floyd in 1987 or 88 in the LA Colisium (Momentary Lapse of Reason tour), sadly after Roger Waters had left the band. The concert was good ... but not earth-shattering.

It frustrates me that I was a couple of years too young to go see The Wall concert, and to see Led Zeppelin on their (what turned out to be) final tour when they were in LA .

Two years ago, I saw Alanis Morissette in concert - I was very impressed, because it was real music - no playback (very common in Europe), no huge lighting and special effects, just Alanis and her band playing live.

And in 3 weeks, I'm going to go see Jethro Tull in Freiburg, Germany!!!

I gotta go with Night Ranger as well. They came to Savannah with Kansas in the late 80's. It was pretty much an ALL Kansas crowd, and NR got very little respect unfortunately. They still put on a hell of a show. Gotta say though the best part of the night was that not one doob touched my lips, but the arena was so friggin saturated that I didn't miss a thing.

Probably Metallica on the "Justice" tour. Came with Queensryche, who greatly surprised me.

I remain a converted Rychey to this day. Not a fanatic, but I keep some of their stuff on hand. After seeing the amount of energy and professionalism that they put forth on that tour, I decided that I can put up with the operatic vocals.

[EDIT: KISS on the "Asylum" tour were pretty loud also.

Favorite concert: Metallica Black album. Nothing but Metallica . . . in the round.]

I should have specified that I meant I would pay big bucks to see the ORIGINAL Floyd. I like David Gilmour, but Floyd without Waters is a bit vapid.
NEWS FLASH: Original Pink Floyd members re-uniting for at least one concert in London on July 2nd.
If I was richer than God, I would go. Unfortunately, I'm not.

That's good to know about Alanis. She's coming to Denver this summer, and I was trying to decide whether to pop for the tickets. I'm leaning heavily in that direction now!

Maybe it's a "date" concert. A guy wanting to go to a show like that of his own free will just doesn't make sense.

My loudest was the first concert I ever went to, Smash Mouth and Third Eye Blind (right before they got really big) in 1998 at the local university.

I saw Third Eye Blind. They were pretty good (for a "new" group). BUT, if you're gonna cover Stairway at a show, do it some justice. That night they fell extremely short in that regard.

Depends on two things:

1) Your definition of 'cute'; and
2) How far you're willing to stretch "kinda."

[EDIT: She sorta looks like my Uncle Edmund.]
