It's all relative my friend.

Remember. We freeze our balls off below seventy degrees down here.

I always used to love it when tampa complained that all the packers fans came to town and made it "Lambeau south" for that game.

For years this went on.

and Chicago, and Redskins, and Detroit, and Vikings.....

Pretty much the whole schedule the stadium was filled fans from the opposite side in the lean years.

On a side note. In the lean years. We drafted the second coming of Christ to lead us to the promised land. This Messiah out of South Florida was none other than Vinny Testeverde from the Miami Hurricanes. Not only was he a horrific bust that bordered on comical while here, he went on, in typical ex-Buc fashion to do great things for other teams...Oh yes...our list is long and steeped in greatness of the players we sent packing that became great. That aside. Back in the day, I bore a passing resemblance to Mr. Testeverde. Enough to wherever I went, people would ask if I was some sort of relation. Brother or what not. In the lower class sections of town people thought I was him.

The beauty of this was while out in a bar. The questions would inevitably come. My stock answer to "Are you his brother?" was always no. And likewise to "Are you Vinny Testeverde?". These answers however, in no way, deterred the "all knowing" fans of the game of football. I'd always get the old wink and a nod, and a "Oh yeah sure. I get it. You just want your privacy. Here have a beer on me. Your secret is safe with me buddy."

This sounds like it could be fun and easily abused, but the downside of it was, Vinny was a shltty quarterback playing on shltty team at the time. The media blamed the early arrival of the vernal equinox on Vinny. So as many drunks that insisted I was either him or his brother and bought me beer all night despite my insistence to the contrary. There was an equal amount that of drunks that insisted that I was him or his brother and wished me ill will or harm. So the dark side of this tempered the light side, and caused me to adopt the strict "NO I'm not" policy.

CRAZY BRONCOS FINISH! WOOT!

Other thrillers as well. SF/ARIZ, CHIC/GR. BAY were both great games!

if the face value is $55 - what do people scalp them for ? double?

I know around here, GB ticketholders normally double (or triple) the ticket price and often as not break even on what they pay for the games.

photojoe - will watch for the plane.

omegajim - there's not much of a market for scalped tickets in cleveland...unless it's the cavs. even though this is without a doubt a football town (tribe and cavs are always second fiddle even when fielding better teams) patience is starting to wear thin. wouldn't be surprised to see a game blackout late this season. haven't had a blackout since 1995, the last season of the 'old' browns.

and now the bears play the REIGNING WORLD CHAMPIONS.

Looks like another 0 - 2 start for the bears.

Meanwhile, the packers are playing the bengals, I think; so 2 - 0.

Like the first 2 games of the season determine everything.

the packers can't even beat the bengals; it's going to be a long season.
