Nice! At least you'll have it ready for next year.

Do you still have the 750 ?

Don't know if your interested in a conversion or a spare for the race bike. I'll be calling this guy, he has a lot of 1st gen. parts. He has an 88 1100 motor with 7,900 miles. asking $800.00. If you want, I could check it out for you if your interested.

1988 GSXR 1100 MOTOR FOR SALE OR TRADE,

That could be cool. IF he still has it. You will need to pull the oil pan to see if there are any bearing bits in there. #2 usually gets beat to hell on the 1100s. Been burned on the used motors before.

OK, I'll see how it goes. If you want to PM me with a list of other things to check on the motor, I'll do those too. It sounds like it's out of the bike but I could probably do a cold hand comp. test or blow down test if I can find my gages.

Don't think it's going anywhere. The old girls aren't to popular up here.

Maybe we could arrange it so that I go to the track up there by you for the break in. It will be most likely in February or so. I need to lose some weight before getting back on the track. Too much beer this summer. UGH

Thought so, the fender and forks through me off. Need to get you up here next year. Maybe a ride in for Laconia Bike week 6/14 - 6/22. There will be track days and racing all week. Would be nice to see two old school Gixxers on the track. You could use my shop and Tab and I would take care of ya.

MS and MJ Track Days. Ya Baby !!!!!!

Hmmm. Ride share for the Lone Star folk. Or fly in, we have extra bikes. I'll probably have at least one extra track bike by then. A GSX-R 600 or 750.

Come to think of it, with a little help, we could plan and organize a great ride event. It's the oldest Bike Week in the country and is treated like a national holiday up here. Plenty of events for everyone from cruisers to the go fast crowd. Hundreds of miles of twisty mountain roads and they even close Mount Washington for bikes only.

It's capped off by the "Loudon Classic". Racers come from all over the country to participate in the races.
