Default Rode to work today

Took the 750 ratbike. I'm gonna try and log some serious miles on that bike this year.

Was a wee bit chilly, but pretty fun! It's been a while since I did that, seeing as how I have a "real" job now!

it ain't a rat till it's painted flat black and held together with bungee cords and silicon.

Good to see someone is managing to get out, more than a wee bit chilly here, and my bike fizz's when the salt from the roads flicks up onto it!

I hear ya Stevie. I grew up in Colorado. Winter and spring riding was definitely interesting at times!

Note snow AND sand on the roads . . .

Back doesn't hurt anymopre, neither does the foot. So, we'll see. I just bought a Stairmaster (a REAL one, not the cheap-*** department store crap), I am starting training again as soon as it arrives this week. So, hopefully will be in decent shape by the time spring comes. Need to lose a quite a few few lbs by racing season. Too much good food and beer!

I woke this am to hear the HAMMER calling me again...It happened the day before..but temps were 37 at dawn. NFW! But this AM. it was a bit warmer at 59 deg's. Leathered up and headed out. HAMMER was singing all the way to work. The tune."I can't drive 55"

I rode today and it was in the 40's 'cept around Mountain Creek Lake. I was down right frigid. I actually had to tuck under the shield for a bit. Hey Pete That Texas bike sings the same song as mine.

We don't need no stinking shield! I have to admit at 90 it was starting to get cold.

I like the shield on the highway. But for tooling around like when we were in Daytona I take it off.

i rode in this morning also....it was 45 and very foggy in parts. the ride is only 5 miles, but seemed like 20 with the weather. i had the hazzard lights on in the thicker fog....and kept it down around 40 the whole way.

face was freezing at first, gave me a headache....should have worn the neoprene face mask i bought a couple weeks ago, it would have made the trip perfect

however...lunchtime and trip home were great....around 70. i took the long way back from lunch and then rode about 15 miles past my house to a bike shop to get a helmet (they have to order it).

.

Yep it was foggy here this morning too so I took the cage in as I have 68 miles to cover, but on the way home I was sure missing my C50...Seems to be only "PATCHY FOG" tomorrow so I'll see when I get up in the morning...

Yeah, well, I'm still doing all that. Wanted more $$$ to stick into the amp business, so I got a government contractor position working with DOVA (Department of Veterans Affairs).

Riding to work this morning in 38°F, I was very happy to have my shield, and my warm riding gear. It should be about 55°F for the ride home, I won't have to put the thermal undies back on. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
