Default GA. Riders Meet Up Point & Time

Guys lets shoot for 8:30am at the METRO PETRO gas station on the north side of Barnesville (corner of HWY 341 & Atlanta St.)

See the attached map.

We'll plan to leave by 9:00am at the latest. That will give us time to ride 1hr south to Andersonville to check out the War Memorial for about an hour. Then we'll ride another 45min. south down to the lunch spot on Lake Blackshear.

CJasper: We'll plan to be at lunch at 11:45am so that we can meet/eat at Noon.

Ben: Hwy 41 to Forsyth on the map is also Hwy 18.

Unfortanetly everyone I will not be able to make the ride now. My girl and I are getting an apartment together and Sunday is the only day that I will have to get all my crap moved in to it as I am leaving town for Orlando on the 7th.

Hope the weather is good and everyone keeps the rubber side down....I'm in the next ride come hell or highwater!

Well I'm planing on leaving here at 830am from the Walmart on Thomasville road here in Tallahassee ( that for any rider that wants to join from here ) I think its a 3 hour ride from here with Im hoping only 1 gas stop. I still havent heard from any other riders so unless someone shows up at the station I will be riding by myself.

Are you sure that you can't make it? Alex isn't coming, your not coming & I'm not positive is Smurf is coming or not. If Smurf cancels then I suggest that we postpone this ride for another weekend.

Smurf you riding this Sunday??????????

Yeah, this Sunday is my only day off for around two weeks. I will be out of town for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, so I need to get everything moved before I leave, or I'll have to pay rent on two places. Originally, this move wasn't supposed to happen until after I got back, but things got pushed forward unexpectedly.

what ? Is this just going to be just me riding out to somewhere for 8 hours ????? Cause it don't matter who goes or don't go I'm still riding someplace. My girl made her plans as well. Are there any Poker places open that I can go to if you guys don't ride?

I hope there are atleast 2 or 3 riders that I will be able to meet on Sunday.

CJasper: I still plan on coming down. I should be able to have at least a couple other riders from Barnesville along with me. We'll meet at Noon at Cypress Grille. Hopefully you can get at least a couple Florida riders to come as well. It looks like nice weather for Sunday.

Thats great but as for riders from here LOLOLOLOL I have tried everything I know. And I still have no riders sep me. The M-J member thats right here in Tally area still has not contacted me about the ride, the Local bike shop is having an Event with motox stuff so they wont come either. So I think it will just be me riding in, but thats ok with me at least I get to ride a long way. This is a tester because I'm riding to St Petersburg Florida Over 200 miles from me here. To see my Family for Thanksgiving.

Well..............there was a ride after all. This was the weekend that nobody could get away to ride on, but 4 of us rode anyway. Absolutlely perfect weather. The 3 Georgia riders started out early and rode down to Andersonville and checked out the National POW Museum. We only had about 1hr (you need 3-4hrs) but what we saw was very interesting.

1-Pic. All 52,000 union soldiers that we're imprisioned here had to come up with ther own shelter......some how, some way. 30% of the prisoners died there.

2-Pic. Me in front of the prisoner wall monument with a natural spring running through & underneath it.

3-Pic. The "Twisted M Fitty" reflecting on all the lives that were lost.

From Andersonville we rode south down to the Marina on Lake Blackshear where we meet CJasper who rode up from Tallahassee, FL. We enjoyed a good lunch on the water then we stopped on the way out and watched some serious radio controlled airplane acrobatics.

1-Pic. Cypress Grille for Lunch.

2-Pic. Vertical radio controlled airplane acrobatics.

3-Pic. All four bikes with Rex & Chris while we were watching the planes.

Pic-1&2 Providence Canyon.
Pic-3 I like to call this picture "Ode to DJ" (Your not the only one who can cut & paste & clone & smudge & crop!) Ha, Ha!

Dude that looked like an awesome trip! I was coming home from the mountains today and I saw all the motorcyles and was so jealous that I was stuck in my cage! We ended up doing a 14 mile overnight loop. It was pretty cool, but I wish I could have been on my bike!

Awesome pics. Man, that looks like a sweet ride today. Glad to see it all worked out and the weather cooperated. (You didn't have to squeeze the ride in between Gustav and Hannah!)

I'm taking my kids up to Black Rock State Park in Mountain City, GA to go camping tomorrow. So I'll see a bunch of bikes up there and I'll think the same thing. But you got to take time to do other things. Looking forward to camping with my boys now. Glad I got to ride today though.
