I'm thinking about trying to convince the wife to let me take a run to the Omaha Zoo before the snow fly's (well...before the snow sticks is more like it). I've been wanting to get down there for a few years now - it's supposed to be a pretty good zoo from what I hear. I'd probably super slab it down via IA on the way down on Saturday morning, hit the zoo Saturday afternoon, then super slab it back via Sioux Falls on Sunday (so that I can add a few more states to my state map). I figure it's about a 6 hour ride each way. Well make it 7 to allow for gas and stretch stops. I'll be pleasantly surprised to see any interest on this; but figured I'd post it anyway. No date set yet - still need to check with the control tower. |
