So with stops and all we should be there by 9'is. The hotel JD is referring to is about 12 miles south of 94. Restaurant and gas very close but the freakin' booze store closes at 9 pm. Maybe we had better pack less clothes and more beer??

Uggh. That's sounding like a long evening in this weather. I really hope my 'lectric jacket shows up. Should bought where Rick did.

I am going to my neighbors wedding at 1:00 but I will do my best to get out pronto. If not then you guys go ahead and I will try and catch up. I will have the bike ready to go before hand so all I gotta do is pee, hop on and ride.

This is where I bought mine, it's right on HWY 65 on the north side of Mpls, they have a pretty good stock in the store, and with not having to pay tax on clothing it's about the same price as buying on the internet and paying shipping.

Jacket liner $150, overpants $225, gloves $125, and rheostat style controller $70, you do have to pay tax on gloves & the controller, so the total is right at $600

A few questions, since I haven't been paying full attention:

Have we settled on lodging? Waiting for JD to check things out?

What's Kooter's real name? Who's Greg?

If you don't have enough room for all of us we can just draw straws for who has to stay in a hotel & split the cost up between us.

The in's are.
Vinnie
Clint
J.D.
Rick
Nels & one friend
Kooter
Greg

The maybes are
My son Jason & one friend
Bill (from my work)

So if no one backs out we have 8 going and 3 maybes

Here's a route overlay showing fastest routes. Just a little lunch project. I'm showing 291 miles for Saturday.

Hey Adam check this out, I think you will like the picture of the bike in the second row all the way to the right, it has a special attachment that you could put to use this w/e.

Yes at this point we are still don't have any real plan as to where we will be staying Sat night, if J D comes through that will be great, otherwise just ride till we find a place kind of like we did on the trip down to the Dragon.

Greg is my friend that is renting a bike from the Hitching post for this ride, he's an OK rider, but hasn't ridden for 2 years, and will be on a rented GS1200.

Kooters real name is "mud", but he may have something else he likes to go by, we'll just have to wait till he tells us what that may be.

Here's the 5 day forecast for Madison by AccuWeather. For what it's worth it's something to watch. These guys are probably no better than the rest it seems.

I'm hoping the "brief shower or two" is ahead of us Saturday evening, and Sunday stays dry. The forecast is similar here, but without the rain Saturday. Nice!

Nothing available at my timeshare resort. We will have to find a hotel. I talked to the owner at the hotel in Baraboo and he said 3 or 4 in a room would be an extra 10 bucks.

Thanks for trying, and for making the call. We can find a place over supper, maybe. I hate trying to find one at the last minute. Helmet off, helmet on. Helmet off, helmet on.

Nels has booked one of the rooms at the place J D suggested.

750 West Pine Street in Baraboo Phone # is 608-356-8366

I am going to book a second room, $69 for two Queen beads, $59 for 2 double beds.

I think we will be able to get by with 3 rooms, it sounds like some people have backed out, so if someone else wants to book a third room we should be set

Who decided not to go? I didn't notice.

Is there a spot in one of those rooms for me? Not knowing who's committed, I don't want to book a third room just yet. I'd say anyone committed should claim a bed now and commit to paying for it.
