I'm thinking about exploring this route today or tomorrow, most likely tomorrow just so I can get a feel for a good route. Anybody up for it?

I kind of figured that when I didn't hear back from you, no problem, maybe next time.

I was at a party last night and set up a few different short rides for this w/e, one of the party goers turned out to be a salesman for Motoprimo so of course we got to talking about my interest in a Tiger being a salesman he gave me the typical salesman spiel and assured me that he would make sure that as a friend of a friend I'd get the best deal possible if I decided to buy a Tiger from them, all this right after the guy hosting the party (you remember Nels from our spring ride) filled him in on how many bikes I've bought & sold over the last few years, so this guy right away has me pegged as a (in your words) bike buying junkie and I'm sure he'd love to get me as a customer, so we'll see what he comes up with for a smoking hot deal.

What's your schedule/route Vinnie, I might be able to ride along with you on Sunday.

No schedule. If you want to go I will leave the schedule up to you. As far as the route I was just thinking of doing half of it, north side of Milacs, maybe eat lunch and come home. Also up for negotiation.

Got the Directions figured out and we will be there around 8:00 AM.
Less than 90 miles to get there.

In case someone's checking in on a phancy phone, this is where I am today. It's a small two-story home with woodgrain vinyl siding and shakes on the top half right in the crotch of the roads. Stop in. Call ahead if you can, but not necessary.

Fire # 27612, Beaver Dam Drive, Nisswa.

Just got home and checking in. Had an excellent breakfast with Oksana and Vinnie. Had a nice ride up and around the lake. Might be too many straight roads for the sport bikers though.

I home safe and sound. Sorry I did not make it up Clint, my butt was really starting to hurt! We did have a good ride but as J.D. said probably not much fun for the rest of y'all. Mostly straights, a few corners but just long sweepers. It was scenic for sure but that was about it.

Later!

Glad you guys had a good ride. I'm willing to go next time. It's to be expected in MN.

I'm sitting here watching the last episode of Long Way Round. Who's up for an Alaska run?

If you guys want to do this run I'm in. I think our mine issue was when in Isle there really was no good place to eat. We had cold sandwiches from a gas station then went to eat a a scenic outlook area. Really no place to sit cept the guard rail. I was kind surprised that where we were that there was such a lack of food places. I don't even remember seeing a bar and grill. Must be something up there.

Clint, I would love to go to Alaska, I can have my bags packed in about 20 minuets.

Vinnie & J.D., sorry to hear about your less than inspiring lunch, so I won't rub it in about the fantastic lunch I had at the resort at Balsam Lake.

I had leftover Chicago-style pizza and an Amber Bock. Today I paint the house.

That's Mr. SOB to you son.

I was going to say "your in Luck", but I guess I'm a day or two late.
