|  North end of Lake Michigan
I've been kicking around the idea of riding around Lake Michigan sometime this summer and Frostbitevinnie is planning a trip to the general area of Howell MI sometime in July. If possible we're going to hookup and ride some of it together. So watch here and see if this is going to happen. Maybe this can be an opportunity for a few MJers to meet up or possibly ride some of it. Since Vinnie has a place to be and a time he has to be there, he will make the call as to when. My guess is that I'd meet Vinnie in Green Bay and then head north. As for me, my plan is to avoid Chicago entirely on the way back and take a ferry across the lake at either Ludington or Muskegan on the return trip. Links to these are here and here. Never have done that before, it could be interesting. Besides, in recent years I've made about 20 trips through Chicago and have no interest in doing it on my bike. |
