Not TOO short!

If the weather is anything like today, we're in for a sweet ride.

Rider checking in. Good day. 280 miles, part of it on very nice roads. Thanks, Rick!

Here's the .gpx file of our day. It's pretty cool to look at it in Google Earth and see exactly where we rode. You can even see the restaurant we ate lunch at. I'm working on a Google Maps link, too.

Ok, here's the ride report.

1. Vinnie and I rode through downtown to the highway. It was about 32 degrees. We decided to take the slower route to try and stay warm. It worked. Sort of.

2. Vinnie leads me through some spaghetti interchanges. I verify his route on the gps. Looks good.

3. We meet at St. Paul Harley Davidson. Vinnie and I park around back by service. Later, we move out to the picnic area to get a photo.

4. Rick leads us through some nice curvy areas. The oaks are deep orange and brown now, but still pretty.

5. We stop at our lunch destination. Disaster strikes! The grill is closed! We head down the road.

6. We stop for some HUGE hamburgers. No, my bike wasn't rolling around the parking lot. I left it on for a while and it showed typical gps error anomalies.

7. Into town for gas, then back out.

8. Oops. Fearless leader misses turn. About face!

9. Oops. Dead end.

10. Stop for photos between the lakes.

11. J.D. splits off northbound. Adam splits off southbound. Clint misses interstate onramp. Honks farewell to Rick, and he and Vinnie cut through town to the interstate, and home.

I don't think I'll ever move my arm again. I told my wife today that the next time I crash to leave me in the ditch.

Anyways, goin to survey the pill situation. The big ones are the best but the dreams are really disturbing.

I'll have to figure out the aerials later.

Huuuuuhhhhh? Permission is not needed. It was good to ride with you JD and nice to have another cruiser in the group. Maybe we can fit in another ride soon. I am going to have a LOT of unpaid time off soon so I think it is important to maintain the Amer. way and spend money I don't have.

Alright since no one else wants to step up to the plate, I'll go out on a limb and grant you permission to ride with us again, but I got to explain that I was only kidding about you showing up wearing a Dolly Parton wig & the high school cheer leader skirt, so next time just wear your regular cloths.

All kidding aside it was good meeting you J.D. I hope you enjoyed yourself.
