I'm home, cold and wet, but safe and sound.

Clint & Vinnie should be checking in, in a few hours, the weather really turned bad just after we split up at the south side of the Twin Cities, so they might be delayed some.

I've ridden the Dragon before, so I knew what to expect, but Clint & Vinnie had a real eye opening experience riding the Dragon for the first time in darkness.

Someone asked what's it like, well the best way I know to explain it is, it's like riding a roller coaster race track, and when you include all the other roads in the area that are almost as good, it's an experience that every motorcyclist should do. Besides being waaaaaay fun, it will make you a much, much better rider. The worst road in the area is better than the most fun road I can think of within 100 miles of my house, the only way I could even come close would be a track day.

Oh, and all the M-J members that showed up are GOOD PEOPLE, we really have some cool people on this forum.

I'll fill you in more later, right now I need a real hot shower.

Checking in. Vinnie was a block from his house when I saw him last, so aside from that numb tingly feeling that comes with hours of hypothermia, we're both fine. More later. I have to catch up with the family.

Oh, and yes, I did rash up the Bandit. Fortunately, the great guys I was with helped me get 'er back rolling, and I rode the Dragon a second and third time the same day. My hat's off to all of them.

sound like fun, I think ive pretty much decided im going, my brother and at least two others want to got as well, so at least 4 of us are planning on going in probably about a month. Figure day down, day to ride around and a day back-I have plenty of vacation time to blow off so Im in no hurry to make it a a nonstop trip, gonna have to take many detours. Definantly going to try in invest in a GPS though-think im gonna have to start searchin some on those little things

glad you all had a safe trip

Glad to hear you guys got back safe. You will definitely have to fill us in on the off roading experience. I guess not seeing where you are going at night and keeping it between 27 and 35 wasn't a bad idea.

Of course Kelley and Everett both said if I had went over the side of the mountain about six of us probably would have followed!!!

Well I wish I could've been there the whole time. If I hadn't been the only one at work this week I definitely would have called in sick,, sick of work!!!!

On a side note,, Vinnie if you might be interested in a factory Suzuki C90 Gel wide seat $100 and it is yours. I got that light bar complete with visors for the lamps and the blinkers, factory passenger floorboards, a nice rear T-Bag(one with an extra top bag) and an extra rear luggage rack for $250.

He has a set of factory crash bars for the C90 and I think it will fit the LC Intruder and the Factory Gel Seat left.

Here's a pic of the bars and the seat. If I had an extra $150 I'd have bought the seat.

Thanks for the offer Sean but I am pretty much out of bike cash.

Hummmm, my off road experience. I was having difficulty with my bike up there since I am still new to this bike and large cruisers in general. We were on the mini dragon, which IMO is more difficult than the dragon itself. Went around a corner had almost no lean and went down, luckily I went into a ditch and not a guardrail, rock, tree, stone wall, or one of those bottomless cliffs. I bent my the left side of my hwy bar but I much prefer that to a crushed or broken leg. Not a scratch on me. Gear is a wonderful thing. I was not going very fast, between 15 & 25. I am glad I went, I sure learned a lot about riding twisties.

i didn't crash at all.. woo hoo!! but the capabilities of my bike did save me a few times. I can say though I rode my bike harder in that one week I have ever ridden any vehicle ever. Truly incredible what you people in that area have to ride. It was good to meet other's too off the forum. Oh and vinnie, your bike is a hell of a lot heavier than the bandit to pick up...

Rick's on pages 3 and 9 of the touring bike section. I'm on pages 9 and 13 of the sportbike section (go figure).

Anyone remember the URL of the guy shooting Wednesday morning? It was something like 123prophotos.com.
