Just finishing my list, too. I have room left over since I'm not packing a tent!

I'm not sure what time Adam's leaving, but Clint & Vinnie must be already on there way, the rain has stopped for now, so it looks like a dry start, but just a bit chilly at 55*F.

I wish you all could be with us, but your not so we'll try and have enough fun to cover everyone.

I guess the MN guys are all on the road by now. Good luck to them, hope they have fun, and have a safe week.

It would be neat if they find a computer down there and post a few pics.

Actually, best wishes to everyone involved. I think the group could be about eight people this weekend, with one or two other MJers possibly drifting in for a short time. All in all kinda a cool deal for M-J. I wish I was there.

I am going to bring my camera. Hopefully I will have enough time to get some shots of the fun. If so I will post some pics when I get back.

I got the exhaust pipe in yesterday. No leaks at the head,, but there is a small leak at the joint where it connects to the next section. You cannot even hear it but if you hold your hand near the pie you can feel a slight leak there.

No worries. I rode it to work this morning to give it a shake down. Thanks to the extra oil change and filter I had to do at the 2000 mile mark it seems to be shifting easier too!!!

All I have to do is get my two bikes loaded on our truck and trailer and pack. Then tomorrow morning BlackholeKelley will be bring his '81 Nighthawk 450 up and he will be meeting up with cms58 tomorrow. That way they can get their bikes loaded up and be ready to roll when we are done with the funeral.

Once we get going we will be meeting up with Everett Keith on the way up there. So Saturday will add 5 more bikes to the group for Sunday.

Road Momma and morecarl are supposed to meet us along the way to ride the route with us as well. Should be a good ride for Sunday. Hoping the weather holds out for both days.

Well I made it to Lexington, but I have created a problem for myself. Everyone from the northern group is ok, but significantly delayed because of weather. My only map is here on my phone... This is my DUH moment. If I'm not there by dark tomorrow, send out the search party.

Well we are back (the Georgia crew).

Started off a little rocky. We had the funeral to attend on Saturday so we didn't get on the road till around 1:00. Then on the way up there cms58's truck started overheating. So we managed to get to where Everett was at and we hooked my trailer to Everett's truck and then we hooked cms58's trailer to my truck. So the Hemi pulled the load quite well this weekend.

We got there around 5:00 pm. Met up with ShonR. We then unloaded the bikes. Ate some really, really, really great Jambalaya. Then we were off to head north to meet the Minnesota crew.

Got to ride the Dragon on the way up. That was cool. Dusk on the Dragon,, minimal traffice!!!! We stopped at church about 20 miles north of the Dragon and waited for the guys. Littel confusion and we decided to head back to meet them thinking they may have taken a different route.

Well they ended up catching up to us after the bug in the eye incident. So I led them back to Robbinsville back down the Dragon in the dark. If you haven't rode the Dragon in the dark you are missing a butt clentching experience!!!! At least for the lead guy trying to make sure the tight turns to the left and right outside of your headlight beams are actually there.

The rest of the guys got to follow the red catapiller taillight trail they said.

Rowdy said with the fatigue setting in the the tight turns he was seeing headlights and taillights going everywhere.

Well we got back to the hotel, ate the rest of the Jambalaya, finished the beer off, found out we were in a dry county ad went to bed.

Woke up Monday morning to rain,,pouring rain. So needless to say we called off the ride for Sunday and I programmed the route in Ricksters GPS. I also pointed out a few other areas for them to check out.

We loaded the bikes up and we were off back to Georgia. Hopefully they will have great weather the next couple of days the on the way back home. Maybe we need to think about another less rainfilled time of year for the next trip.

The weather looks ok now for Robbinsville but there's a lot of rain around that could be moving in later today and tomorrow, and a big patch of severe weather moving in their general direction. Really a crappy deal. But there's a chance it may actually clear up for them. Hoping for the best.

Last Friday about noon I left KY (in my van) and was heading for home in WI. Weather started off pretty nice but in the middle of Indiana I came to some heavy rain and winds that had cars pulling off I65 because of almost zero visibility. It will be interesting to hear how the guys handled the rain, probably following it or going around, there wasn't much of an option to go through it at least where I was.

From what I heard they rode Friday in the rain and were in the mix. Of course they were not as far along the first day due to calling it quits earlier
due to the weather.

Rowdy and my brother were snapping some shots while we were there. Hopefully they can get them uploaded in the near future.
