I posted this site earlier today. Have spent a little time looking at the Tennessee maps and some might be interesting to you guys next week. These are already programmed GPS routes that can be downloaded. I have no experience with a GPS so I don't know if these can be edited or modified to suit your needs or not. In the off chance that some might be useful I'm posting the TN and NC links here.

Yeah, I'm still wearing the velcro brace but the wrist feels real good. Probably keep it on another week because I'll be out of town so why not give it some more time.

Anyways today I'm packing up the van for my trip tomorrow to the corporate office in KY. As you may remember my original plan was to trailer my bike down there and then Friday evening head over towards Robbinsville. Instead Friday I'll be heading home and will be going up I-65 through Indianapolis about 3:00 pm. As I cross over your path I'll look for motorcycles. You can't imagine how pissed I am about how this all turned out.

Oh well, Saturday I pick up my new bike, another S50 (I loved that bike) only this time with V&H classic II slip ons and believe it or not, the old Intruder style handlebars. So at least that's looking up.

So guys have a good time and I say sincerely, above all be safe. Keep out of the weeds, trust me, it hurts.

-Mike

Well back from North Carolina. Went to see my Uncle. Was good to see him. Went by to see our Other Grandmother who is now widowed. She seemed to be doing fine when I was there but she has always been a tough lady.

Friday night I thought I'd cut across a curb or two and managed to bend my from exhaust pipe and bent the oil filter. So this little off roading experience on the Wee will cost me about $150. I think the parts to fix her will be here by Friday. If not does an exhaust pipe that is halfway closed cause any problems for the engine?

Got to get the new oil filter too. Sheesh.

Well hopefully we will be on the road by 1:00 on Saturday. We are going to load up the bikes and have everything ready to go before the funeral. As soon as it is over we are going to hit the road.

QUOTE]

It will make your engine run rich, if it's not flattened to much, your ECU (electronic control unit) will adjust the fuel air mixture, and all that will happen is you will lose some HP. If the restriction is to much for the ECU to adjust for, your motor will run like crap, and you will start fouling spark plugs.

Worst case scenario, it probably won't hurt your motor, but if you start flowing unburned gas past the valves you might get an explosion that could blow your exhaust pipe apart, and start the bike & you on fire.

I loaded up the engine on a motor home I had once & filled the exhaust with raw gas, when that baby blew it ripped the entire exhaust system off, and I swear it felt like the motor-home lifted off the ground. luckily it didn't start on fire.

Great. Well hopefully I get the pipe here in time. I guess if I am going to pretend to take it off the pavement then I better consider a skid plate. I might take the pipe off and try to beat it from the inside out.

It did feel a little wimpy on the way home afterwards. Oh well. That was a $130 lesson I learned.

If it's in a bend, you might be able to fill it with water & freeze it, leave the ends open, don't try and plug them, otherwise you'll just split the pipe. You southern boys might not know the power of ice.

Well it isn't in the bend as I thought but hey.. I pulled it off and filled it with water anyways. I put soe saran wrap over the ends to keep it from spilling but definitely won't stop ice expansion.

Will be an interesting experiment.

Got the oil filter and will change that when I get the bikes pipe back on. Sure was easy pulling the pipe off. Easiest yet.

It didn't work. Oh well. Hopefully my other pipe will be here in time. Otherwise I guess you will be following the Intruder.

All I can say is well $#!@. I have ordered the parts for the Wee and found out they are not due in till next Thursday or Friday (6/5 or 6/6). So I went to a local dealer and $60 later they claim they will 2nd day the parts to me and I should have them sometime Thursday.

Sheesh,, my little off road adventure has cost me some dinero I wasn't expecting. Definitely getting a skid plat if I intend to do this again.

If the parts don't get here I will fall back on the Intruder. But man I really don't want to take it this time. I will but it is a little more nerve racking with that bike in the twists than the Strom.

Default Stepping Down

Sorry guys .. I won't be coming to the meet and greet this coming up weekend. I have too many things going on right now with trying to get moved into a new house. Between that and not having the extra money needed I will have to try again some other year when you guys decide its time to ride again.

Sorry fellas but hope you guys have fun, take plenty of pictures and be safe most of all!!
