Default Colorado Continental Divide

I have been tossing an idea around in my head for a while. A tour of the continental divide in Colorado. There are a total of 14 highway crossings of the continental dividein the state, from Wolf Creek Pass in the south to Rabbit Ears Pass in the north. To tour all 14 with a minimum of backtracking and retracing would require about 1600 miles (round trip from Colorado Springs). This would be a serious multi-day road trip, but the country is spectacular. This would be some intense riding, mountain passes, twisties through some great forests... From Trail Ridge road and Milner Pass in Rocky Mountain Nat. Park to Independence Pass at over 12,000ft, Glenwood Canyon on I70, Monarch Pass.... I have looked at several routes and have some preliminary plans for this summer, possibly next.

Any ideas? suggestions? reccomendations?

Anyone want to come along?
