That should be a sweet ride. I've ridden a lot in I-35 in Texas but not any further west. Is that route along the line where the temperate area ends and desert area starts or is that a little further west?

Vinnie: the wife and I are fine, it is other issues.

We will be going to the Bandera area = free room and board again.

Ok now this trip to Camp Sionito {the "Hill Country of Texas" at "Historic Bandera", the "Cowboy Capital of the World} could get put on hold.

Wife has to have some artery die test run, ultra-sonic test show 90% blockage in her right neck artery.

My mother had that a few years ago (98% blockage) they had to do surgery. She feels better then ever now- she just turned 66 couple of weeks ago. Just get it fixed before leads to stoke and she'll feel 1000% better after.

Ugh, sorry to hear about the wife.

I'll be doing my own longish ride over the weekend, heading down to Lake Conroe on Saturday to visit the folks then back on Sunday.

Well, my trip to Lake Conroe was a lot of fun, although my backside wasn't terribly happy with me by the time I got home. I think I'm having a problem with the seat being vinyl and therefore not allowing my derrière to breathe. I'm considering one of those wool pads or something to allow a little airflow to the backside.

The highlight of the ride was FM 977 which just connects FM 1119 and FM 3, and runs through Flynn, TX. It was one of the nicest curvy roads out there--not too tight of turns mind you, just perfect. And shady too from the trees on both sides of the road. You can do a constant 60 pretty much the whole way.

The Angiography showed less {23%} blockage than the doppler {90%} Doc says see you next year at your checkup unless you have some other trouble = no surgery for now.
