Cystic Fibrosis Charity Ride

Just wanted to let everyone know that I've organized an event for Sunday June 15th to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We'll be riding from a Tully's in the Bellevue area down through the back-roads to RMC in Renton. All the details are on the website (Riding Toward A Cure for Cystic Fibrosis) but here's a couple highlights

We'll have a BBQ hosted by RMC and be auctioning and raffling off a bunch of cool stuff...

*New Helmet signed by Kevin Swantz, Mat Mladin, Aaron Yates, Ben Spies, Miguel DuHamel, Eric Bostrom, Ben Bostrom, Jason DiSalvo, Jake Zemke, Steve Rapp and 10 others (have pics to prove authenticity of all signers)

*Helmet signed by Andrew Short and Davi Milsapps

*Helmet worn and raced in by Steve Rapp

*Lots of autographed factory clothing

We'd love to have as many people there as possible...it's a heck of a cause and a great reason to get out and ride...all bikes and ages are welcome!! Check out the site for info and registration or just PM me.

Well, while I think it's great that people go beyond and above to organize events and contribute to worthy charities, you may want to consider the following:

1) This is an international forum. I honestly have no idea where in the world "from a Tully's in the Bellevue area down through the back-roads to RMC in Renton" is. After looking at your website, I see that you are in Washington state. We have a handful of members from that region, but the great majority of our members are not.

2) It's considered proper netiquette to first read the forum, then introduce yourself and get involved in the virtual community before advertising events.

3) You've posted this in "Off Topic", which is definitely the wrong place. I've moved it to the "Northwest" forum. At the same time, I've locked it so there will be no further discussion about this topic.
