Welcome to M-J.

If you haven't tried look in your owners manual for their recommendation. But it you want mine, I own the Kawi Vulcan and the dealer and manual had specific ranges for each gear for the first 600-1000 miles.

the book tells me dont exceed 4000rpm until 500 miles and dont exceed 6000rpm until after 1000 miles. but the dealer said something about the bike can visit redline just not live there.
