my 2007 650r is great, I'm 6.0" 235 lbs. and it gets up to speed real quick., my other bike is a 1000cc. concours, for touring, and the 650 feels quicker to 70mph., i only have 500 miles on it so i dont go over 5000 rpm. yet., i wanred a light weight sport bike, as a second ride, and the 650r was a steal at $5400 out the door price., i love it.

I saw that bike today @ the dealer. Man do I ever want that bike. It fits well and is bigger than the 250 ninja I currently have now. I just have to sell the 250 first!

well, i looked for about 3 months for a 600 class sport touring bike and found the 650r to be the ticket. i've owned bigger, faster bikes in the past but i'm happy as crap with this one. power is great and i rarely feel the need to downshift thanks to the low/mid range torque it offers. and in top gear at about 70 mph the tach reads about 5k, roll on the throttle and hold on.........
and about 60mpg. i recomend an exhaust swap and remap if you ever want to feel a little more kick. did a muzzy system, juicebox and aftermarket airfilter and definitely moved up to the next level. my friends ride everything from gsxr's to yammy r's and i have no trouble keeping up on a ride. and i am a lot less wore out than they are after 100 to 200 miles. last bike was a 1200 bandit S
