Default 1974 susuki ts125 rear tire removal

Just bought a nice ts125 for my son and it needs a new rear tire, I am pretty mechanically inclind but this one is giving me a hard time, I cant figure out how the shaft bolt comes out. On the drive side there is a bolt coming through a threaded sleeve that goes to the sprocket, seems like with the nuts removed the bolt should either turn or pull all the way thru and out the other side of brake hub and frame but it only turns, and if I pound on it it doesnt seem to want to go thru but I'm not hitting super hard for fear of breaking something, any idea's out there or does anyone know were i can view a manual on line for it? I had two other people look at it and the only suggestion I get is pound harder. Thanks for reading and any help I can get.
