Question New Member - Seeking Advice

Hi All,

My name is Keith and I'm a new member here. I haven't ridden in about 17 years or so. I sold my bike just before having my 2nd child. Now that they're both driving on their own, my wife says I can have another bike! (kidding, it was my choice to quit. Didn't want to leave any orphans but I digress)

I messed up and didn't grandfather in with the motorcycle rider when Oklahoma added that requirement. So, now I've either got to take the road driving test or have an MSF course completion cert to present to the DMV.

Since I don't have my own bike now, I'd pretty much need to take the beginner's MSF course or refresh myself on my brother-in-law's Harley and take the road test with it.

If I could pass the road test easily enough, I suspect I would be better served with an intermediate MSF course.

Any opinions?

Is the Oklahoma road test THAT grueling?

Is the MSF beginner's course for complete noobs or would I learn some really useful info. IOW, I'd hate to waste 2 full days and $150 bucks on a course that doesn't really teach me much.

Thanks and sorry for the long post.
FWIW, I had my bike, a 550 Maxim, for about 6 years riding it occasionally.
