Default Hey hey hey

Bought a 1981 GS850L just last thursday for $850 and it has to be the best $850 i've spent so far in this short life of mine. I'm in the Army Res., about to go to college, 4 weeks ago i would have never thought i'd be riding... always said i didnt trust 2 wheels & why didnt motorcycles come in automatic? now, i'm a new monster, finding those curvy, sparse traffic roads and letting Suzi sing up to 8-9k rpm. she shows her age in some areas but is a beauty for being 27.

Kurt

My last bike before buying my C90 this year was a 1981 GS850L. Sold it in '88. Mine was two tone black/grey. I loved that bike. Wish I still had it. Can you post a few pics of it?

Oh, from NB, Canada!

thanks all. and for those that have bandits... i definatly cant afford one right now but i am definatly interested in one down the road when they're cheaper. i like inline 4's but more cruiser style like my GS850, do they feel a lot the old performance cruisers? the suzuki dealers dont have any or at least i havent seen one.

i live about 50 miles south west of Des Moines. i was actually up there his weekend for drill(Army Reserve). it's not near any mountains but Iowa has it's own riding roads where you barely have any shoulder and good ole' wildflowers in the ditches, curves, hills & blue skies.
