Default New Bike, New Rider in Florida

Hello all,

I am new to the biking world. I took a motorcycle course last month; my wife actually encouraged me too. Before you ask (1) yes I did just get a life insurance policy (just before she suggested it), (2) I am not sure if it is a coincidence or not, (3) I am not interested in finding out .

Anyway, I just got a 2007 Suzuki M50 VX800/Z. I tripped across the Marauder Hideaway thread here while I was researching what kind of bike I wanted to get and just fell for the lines. What a great looking bike!

I do wish I had seen '08-M50 Rider's post about the key positions BEFORE I drained my battery the first day I had the bike! At least I know I am not the only one. I have no clue why that switch positions exists . . . perhaps an insidious plot of the battery industry . . . truly EPIC FAIL.
